our story
We were a laboratory before we were a brand.
It began in 2016, with a question that turned into a science, and a science that turned into skincare.
Where it began
We did not set out to make skincare.
We set out to find answers.
The same year, two very different things happened in our family. A loved one was diagnosed with Parkinson's. A teenager was struggling with mild acne. Different questions, but the same instinct. We began reading about how cells work, and about the environment that surrounds them. We did not have a word for it yet. It was epigenetics.
It turned out a cell is shaped by everything around it.
We built skincare on that idea.
A laboratory first
So we built a laboratory, not a marketing plan.
We are Tule Park and Didier Magne, and we are not chemists by training. So we brought together people who were. Molecular biologists, dermatologists, green chemists, and ethnobotanists, working from the science of epigenetics, the study of how environment and time shape the way we age.
We spent five years researching and testing before we sold anything. Our first product launched in 2021, a solution for blemish-prone skin that paired a supplement with skincare, because skin is connected to the rest of the body, and we wanted to treat it that way.
Why we test
Hormone safety was never a marketing decision.
Most of the people we began for were women and teenagers. Hormone disruption was a real concern for them, and almost no one was taking it seriously. So we made a choice that has shaped everything since.
We test every finished formula, on living cells, and confirm it free of estrogenic and androgenic endocrine disruption. Not single ingredients. The whole formula. We have done it on every product since 2021, and we were among the first in the world to do it.
How we work
We look at the whole formula, not just the active.
The ingredient most brands talk about is often a small part of a formula. The rest, the preservatives, the base, the texture, is most of it, and all of it touches skin. So we formulate and test the whole thing. It is slower. We think it is the honest way.
Our approach to aging is the same. Not one hero ingredient, but a system, considered as a whole and made for the long term. The science behind it has its own page, if you would like the depth.
